When Summer Camp Is About Becoming A Coder

BASES (Before and After School Extended Services) provides state-licensed, year-round programs for elementary and middle school age children. If parent funding is not an option, all of our educational programs also qualify for Title I, Title II, Title III, Title IV, 21st Century Community Learning Centers, Migrant Education and Early Learning Challenge funding, as well as state and local district resource funding.
The Seymour-Oxford Nursery Child Care Association was organized in 1985 to provide affordable before and after school programs for children of school age living in Seymour & Oxford while their parents are working or participating in an established training program.

This summer, Kingswood Oxford will partner with Fleming Tech Camps to host two of our amazing summer camp programs. If the Eagle Phase of the program is taken Coding camp West Hartford in the second half of the summer, campers may attend our regular camp program as Hawks (our oldest camper group) for all or part of the first two sessions.
Register your students ages 8 and up for this free two-day, two-hour camp teaching students robotics and coding basics using Ohbot the talking robot. After building on fundamental coding concepts, students begin the journey of learning the constructs of typed languages like Python and Javascript, and later C++, Java or others.

More then 65% of the day will be spent indoors, working in our technology labs. Kids come in as usual for their one (or two) hour Code Coaching® session as scheduled, but come a second time each week for a group one-hour session to work on their presentations and get together for team-oriented activities.
